Kenji completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Victoria double majoring in Environmental Studies and Urban Geography. After a variety of occupations including:
Tree Planter, Tour Guide, Forest Technician, Home Renovator, Forest Educator, Business Development Officer.

He continued his education at the Sauder School of Business where he achieved his Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (AACI) Designation.
